VBS has taken up a good deal of my time this week. The theme was Lord of All Things (Lord of the Rings) and several of the parishioners filled in as the cast. It has been a lot of fun and I've really enjoyed going. The classroom hosting the highschoolers (Wizards) was decorated as a hobbit hole. The first day was Bilbo's birthday and included such festivities as sparklers, the crossing of the Buckleberry Ferry down by the creek, and lots of good food. Tuesday was Arwen's big day.. and her Strider conveniently forgot he was supposed to come and stand with her.. leaving her to do all of her lines alone. The third day was equally flustering for the elven maid, as Aragorn was feeling too tired after his bike race to deliver his lines with her. But despite these setbacks, I've had a marvelous time. Today is the last day and *holds breath* tomorrow my SAT results will be available online. I'll decide whether or not those are worthy enough to show you ;) Happy late birthday baby!
